- Always type EBSI's website address, i.e. www.ebshkdirect.com/ebsigo/index-en.html in the browser’s address bar for download links of EBSI GO! App, or www.ebshk.com/emo for the eMO! App, or install them from official application stores.
- Check your statements immediately upon receipt.
- Use our web platform to check your account transactions regularly.
- If you discover any unusual transactions, report them to our Company immediately.
- If you suspect (or confirm) that unauthorized trading has occurred in your accounts, please contact our Anti-Fraud Hotline at +852 3920 2980 or report the case to the Police immediately. Always update your personal contact information with us if there are any changes, including mobile phone number and email address.
- Enable online trade execution and system login notifications to help you identify any potential unauthorized transactions promptly.
- Do not click on embedded hyperlinks in SMS messages. If you accidentally click on a hyperlinks and are redirected to any websites or mobile applications, do not enter any sensitive or confidential personal information, such as user credentials or one-time password for logging into your accounts.
- Make use of Scameter and the mobile application Scameter+. You can, for example, check whether a website, phone number, email, etc. is likely fraudulent by searching Scameter’s database. Scameter+ can alert you in real time if it detects that you are trying to visit a potentially fraudulent website.
- Do not share your passwords with anyone or write down your passwords.
- Use passwords that are unique and not easy to guess, which contain both upper and lower case letters, numbers and symbols.
- Avoid using the same password for multiple services, e.g. one password for various bank and email accounts.
- Avoid using password containing your user name, real name, company name or date of birth, etc.
- Change your passwords regularly to ensure your personal data and assets are protected.
- Our Company will not make unsolicited requests for your personal information through email or over the phone unless initiated by you.
- Do not enable the "save or remember password" feature on applications, e.g. MS Outlook and browsers.
