*Terms & Conditions for EBSHK Direct Member-Get-Member Programme

1. EBSHK Direct Member-Get-Member Programme (the “MGM Programme”) is offered by SHK Online (Securities) Limited (“SHKOS”). SHKOS is a member of the Everbright Sun Hung Kai Group (“EBSHK”) and is licensed by the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong. SHKOS operates under EBSHK Direct, a sub-brand of EBSHK.
2. “Promotion Period” of the offer starts from 1 Jan 2019 and ends on 30 Jun 2019, both dates inclusive (the “Promotion Period”).
3. The client (“Referrer”) who introduces a New Client (“Referee”) to open a new individual or joint trading account of securities with EBSHK Direct successfully during the Promotion Period as per the definition under Clause 5 of Terms and Conditions for EBSHK Direct Member-Get-Member Programme. The referrer and referee will be eligible to receive SOGO Gift Certificate ("Gift Certificate") worth HK$200. By the same token, if the Referrer successfully refers two new clients, the Referrer will be eligible to receive Gift Certificate worth HK$400 and so on.
4. A New Client means a Referee who (i) did not have an individual or joint trading account maintained with any member company of EBSHK or its subsidiaries in the 12 months preceding the effective date of account opening; (ii) who was not a beneficial owner of any corporate trading account maintained with any member company of EBSHK or its subsidiaries during the aforesaid period; (iii) who successfully opens an individual or joint securities trading account with EBSHK Direct during the Promotion Period; (iv) deposits HK$10,000 (or above) or an equivalent amount of new funds to the cash account or margin account with SHKOS and maintains in the account for 60 calendar days after account opening; (v) conducts at least one specified transaction, which means a buy or sell transaction in respect of HK shares through EBSHK Direct within 60 calendar days after account opening.
5. The Referrer will be contacted to collect the Gift Certificate within 3 months via email or telephone from the date the Referrer successfully submits Member-Get-Member Programme Application Form to EBSHK Direct (“Successful Referral Date”) and as per the definition under Clause 3 and 4 of Terms and Conditions for EBSHK Direct Member-Get-Member Programme. In the event that The Referrer cannot be contacted by SHKOS via SMS or telephone after reasonable attempts, he/she will be deemed to have forfeited their Gift Certificate.
6. The Referrer is required to bring along the HKID card to our office in person to collect Gift Certificate during service hours.
7. The Referrer is required to fill in the above application form and submit it to EBSHK Direct when introducing a New Client.
8. Each Referrer may refer up to 9 New Clients to SHKOS during the Promotion Period of the MGM Programme.
9. The Gift Certificate cannot be exchanged for other gifts or cash. The remaining unused Gift Certificate balance cannot be used and will be deemed as forfeited. Gift Certificate is available while stock lasts.
10. The service or product to which the Gift Certificate is entitled is provided by SOGO Hong Kong Co., Ltd (“SOGO”). EBSHK and EBSHK Direct are not the service or product supplier and therefore shall not bear any responsibility related to the Gift Certificate or the service or product to which the Gift Certificate is entitled. Any dispute in relation to the Gift Certificate or the service or product to which the Gift Certificate is entitled shall be resolved between SOGO and New Customer.
11. For redemption details, please refer to terms and conditions on the Gift Certificate.
12. All account holders under one joint account opened is counted as one New Client.
13. The MGM Programme is not applicable to institutional customer, staff, agents and investment consultants of EBSHK. The MGM Programme cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional offers.
14. SHKOS reserves the rights to suspend, amend or terminate the MGM Programme and any of the terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. Any notification made by SHKOS in this regard will be final and conclusive.
15. In case of any disputes, EBSHK reserves the right to make the final decision, which will be binding for all parties concerned.
16. If there is any inconsistency or conflict between the English and Chinese versions of these terms and conditions, the English version shall prevail.
17. In response to the market needs of different products, each product has its own distinct characteristics, risks and terms. Investors MUST peruse and understand the terms and conditions of relevant products before entering into any transactions. Investors must be willing to and in a financial position to bear the risks as well as to assume the responsibilities involved in the transactions of the relevant products (including but not limited to derivative products). In general, derivative products present significant risks and are not suitable for all investors. Should investors have any queries regarding the relevant products (including but not limited to derivative products), please seek independent professional advice immediately.
18. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Each party agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Hong Kong courts.
